Week Sixteen

Big week!  First- we made your first big car trip to Bend and you did awesome!  You slept almost the whole way but when you weren't sleeping your Auntie Court kept you entertained with, you guessed it, keys!  The BIG news--- your Grams and Grampa Ken got engaged!  It's been a long time coming- they've been together 7 years and your Grampa Ken proposed on their 7 year anniversary at the first place they met.  Me and your Dad and Auntie Courtney got to be there for it.  Looks like we are going to take you on your first trip abroad next February for their destination wedding (and your Uncle David will be there for that!).  Should be lots of fun!

Your Auntie Courtney is way more comfy than any bed!

Not sure what you were upset about but I like the picture! :)

Grams is helping you play in your new exersaucer.

Auntie Court got this great shot--- peeking in on the proposal:)

Week Fifteen

This was a very important week for your momma--- my first mother's day!  We had a great time.  On Saturday we went to the Dixon May Fair with your Auntie Court.  She had several kids from her class showing and selling their farm animals.  We ate fair food and had an all around good time.  On Sunday we opened gifts from you, Jasper and Emmett - I got some good stuff! A new lens for my camera, a speedlight and umbrella--- enough to set up a mini home studio... pics to come:)  Then we went to Toys R Us and got you a new exersaucer.  After that we went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  I also got to talk to your Uncle David on the phone and he wished me a happy first mother's day.  He said to give you a kiss- he can't wait to come home and meet you!

This week was also a big week for you developmentally--- you are easily rolling over from front to back and back to front and you've also started reaching your higher registers (screaming in other words).  You are standing for longer periods of time but need help with your balance and you can sit up as long as you are able to put your hands down on your sides for balance!  Your laughter is louder and longer and you smile when I smile at you.  You even play shy when you're eating- it's pretty funny! :)

On our way to the May Fair--- it was a sunny day so we had to cover you up good!

Exploring the fair.

Your parents and auntie started jogging this week and your Dad convinced us to all buy the same running shoes-- colorful!

Playing with your tutu.

This was one of your gifts to me for mother's day!

Week Fourteen

Your Auntie's Jen and Amanda came to meet you this week!  They flew down from Portland for the weekend and we had a great time!  We went to brunch on the river and your Auntie's Courtney and Shannon and Guadalupe came too.  Then we had some sweets at the Dessert Diner.  On Sunday we went to the River and you got your first sun tan! :)

Hangin' with Brother Jasper.

Daddy bought you your first car.  A GT with leather seats- woo hoo!

Laughing at the park.

The river looked so nice!

Auntie Amanda is helping out.  She made you laugh so hard with a funny laugh- ask her to do it again for you sometime!

We think this may have been the first time Auntie Jen ever fed a baby!

Me, Amanda, Jen and You!

Practice makes perfect!

Week Thirteen

It was another quiet week.  We had landscapers working around the house during the week which threw you off a bit- not to mention you've been batteling a case of Montezuma's revenge!  Thinking you picked that up from your Daddy:(  As usual though you've been a tough little baby and powered through.

Modeling your new hat from Grams!
