Sidenote...
There is something you've been doing for a couple of months I keep forgetting to mention in your posts. It is so sweet but not something I can catch in a photo... maybe a video if I got your Dad involved at just the right time. Anyways... you play a little game that goes like this: Mommy is on her phone, reading, watching TV (basically not paying attention to you)... so you crawl or walk around to my back and pull yourself up leaning against my back. You slowly peak around my shoulder until I finally look at you, and then you sweetly smile and giggle when I catch your eye. Then I go back to what I was doing and you peak around again until I catch your eye again, and you giggle again. We do this over and over for about 10 minutes. It's so cute and so hard to explain, but it's something I don't want to forget about as you grow older and tired of this sweet little game:)
Week Fourty-Four
Pacifiers? Huh? Binky? What? You are 10 months old and have always rejected a pacifier everytime I tried to give you one. Now all of a sudden they are your favorite play-time pass-time. You randomly found one in your toy box this week, tried it out and never looked back. Go figure.
You've also become quite the little professional walker. Check you out:

Week Fourty-Three
Happy Thanksgiving Hazel! We fried a turkey at your Uncle Dave and Auntie Courtney's house. We almost didn't get to do it because the weather was threatening rain- but we were able to pull if off. (Well really your Uncle, Dad and Grampa Ken pulled it off).
Side note: Your first freckle popped up on your forhead this week--- I know silly detail but it is so cute!

Yes, those are egg rolls. They are a tradition in our family at the holidays--- your Dad is the master.
And this is why you do not put people on the edges of the frame while using a wide-angle lens. (It's the only shot I have with everyone in it though- sorry Grams!)

Week Fourty-One
What a week. You had many exciting things happen this week. First of all you have gone from taking 1 step to taking three or four steps. Dr. Agee was right about you being an early walker (you just turned nine months old!) It's really cute to see you walk because you concentrate on your balance but then as soon as you fall you laugh at yourself! We are very proud of you:)
Not only are you walking, you are also sleeping through the night in your crib now. Your Dad spent the last week or so helping you learn how to fall asleep in your crib. I had a hard time with this because you would cry and want to be held. But he taught you really well and never left you alone in the dark to cry. He was always there with you and by the end of the week you were pretty good at your new routine!
Last, but certainly not least, you met your new friend Ellie! She was born on Nov. 3 and we went to visit her a couple of times during her first week. She's not quite ready to play with you yet but it won't be long!

Week Thirty-Nine
FIRST STEPS!
Just a few days before your 9 month birthday you took your first unassisted step! You are so strong!
This week we celebrated your Great Gramma (GG's) Birthday! We loaded you in the car, picked up Auntie Court and Uncle Dave and headed to American Canyon for the evening. We played games and watched the USC/Stanford game!

You also started Kindermusik this week! You love Miss Sunny- she sings so pretty and you love to play with the shakers and the drums! You especially love to play with Miss Sunny's guitar case!
Here you are playing a trick on Mommy--- whoops!

Week Thirty-Eight
We're half way through college football season and you are a huge Duck fan! (Would you expect anything else?) Here are some pictures of you in your Duck gear during the last few game days.
Week Thirty-Seven
This week your Yay came to stay with us again! She helped you learn to stand for longer periods of time and cooked a lot of yummy food for me and your Dad!

Week Thirty-Six
You became tickelish this week! Your Grams and Gramps were in town and we were all hanging out at Uncle Dave and Auntie Court's house. Your Auntie Court was playing with you and the next thing we know- you are flinging your whole body backwards after she tickled your side!
Developmentally you are now an experienced crawler and have been crawling since early September but now you're a speed demon. Of course now that you're an expert crawler, that is not good enough. You easily pull yourself up to standing and "cruise" along the couches with no problem. You can balance, flat-footed and with no support for several seconds before sitting down. You also started clapping! Your daddy taught you this game and you understand the word "clap"!
Week Thirty-Five
This week you started gymnastics class! You love crawling around and exploring all of the toys but you hate being on your back for the songs! Miss Kiersten is sweet and you really like her and the other babies! Here are some wonderful pics your Auntie Courtney took of you and me at Tricks Gym!

Week Thirty-Four
First Toddle and Mama, Dada!
You are practically walking my dear. You can stand on your own (without help) for several seconds and are going to take that first step any day. You've also started saying Mama and Dada! You definitely know how to communicate certain things- when you are hungary you drag your feeding chair to me!
Here you are practicing walking in your First Toddle walker. You have fun practicing those first steps!
Week Thirty-Three
It was your Uncle Dave's 31st birthday! We went to San Francisco (your first time there), and took the ferry to Alcatraz. You had a great time checking out all the new sights and sounds!
On the ferry...
It was chilly so we had to keep your tootsies warm!
On the island. Dad tending to you.
Beautiful Bay
Happy Birthday Uncle!
Learning about Alcatraz and checking out the view.
